The 2012 State Finals will be held October 12-14 at Rockin Horse Ranch in Moriarty. We will have estimated added money of $2500 for the weekend! Details and entry forms for the show will be posted on the website in the next few months. Please mark your calendars now!

There are some new rulings to qualify for the finals that should be noted:

• • Members must have attended 3 races in their district during 2012; each district director will be submitting a list of qualified members by October 15, 2012 to the state director for entry verification.
  
• • Members must have current membership by September 1, 2012.

I am excited to announce that we have 2 new district directors: Kylee Creasy from Eunice is the new director for #04, and Marion Ray from Raton is the new director for the new district #07! District #04 is the Southeast corner of the state, while #07 is the Northeast corner. The new district #07 includes the following counties: Taos, Colfax, Union, Harding, Mora, and San Miguel. Both new directors are anxious to get races scheduled and start their new year off with a bang.

Each district will be having a finals benefit race to help raise money for awards. As always, member support is what makes NM NBHA strong; we can’t have races without you, and you can’t run at races without the directors! Support your local director; offer your help at the next race setting barrels! A little help goes a long way and means a lot.
